Yes, it’s a shame for all Warner Bros.-style Smash Bros.-loving fans out there. The game’s got all your favorite Warner Bros. characters such as Adventure Time, Tom & Jerry, and Batman, and it released in 2024. But here’s the catch: when it was in early access, it wasn’t out in many locations, not worldwide. Many believe that the game failed because not many updates happened and it took an eternity to become accessible for everyone in the whole world.

So, here’s the rundown for Season 5: it’s getting its final update with new additions. After January 31, 2025, no one will be able to purchase items with real cash any longer. Season 5 begins February 4, 2025, and will go through to May 30, 2025. All of the online activity will remain accessible and operational until that season concludes. But when May 30 comes, nobody will have access to getting into Multiversus online or downloading it any longer. Any Gleamium and character tokens you have can still use them to purchase and obtain in-game items through to when the season concludes.

A little ironic that the game is closing down near its one-year anniversary, isn’t it? Despite closing its doors, its developers are still adding in new additions beforehand, such as Lola Bunny and Aquaman, and you can start playing them starting next week.
A shame for its fan base that it’s going offline, but at least its enthusiasts can go in and explore and see its closing out and view its final updates before the game completely goes dark.
